2007-07-19 [Mordigen]: There is no writers's corner as we didnt want the sections to get too long or out of control, but anything like what you mentioned can always be submitted as a Guest Submission -- just send me a message with the text or a link to where it can be found and we will definately include it in the next issue ^_^

Although I do think you should separate them, as they are two separate poems... right?

2007-08-08 [Mordigen]: well the theme for the whole issue is "gothic nightmares" so that may be something that may be a bit more difficult to translate into writing --- but basically, not just nightmares, but very dark, deep and demented nightmares.....
or things that may be disturbingly or hauntingly beautiful yet frightening.....is that makes any sense lol :P

As this world beats me down
I frown.
I drown in all the insults
The result is a girl with her fellings broke down in the ground.
A girl who was cheat out of her life,
screaming out in fright.
Running into the night,
hoping they won't catch up.
Trying not to slip up, so she will not fall.
They built a brick wall ahead to try to stop her from succeding.
Her heart is bleeding,
She is needing someone to belive in her so that she can heal.
But no one seems to see the potential that lies inside of her.
They are behind her-
shoving her, kicking her down.
Not giving her a chance.
Nobody takes a second glance
at the girl who was beat down by the world.

2008-07-08 [Mordigen]: Unfortunately, I cannot give you an exact date :(. It has not died, it is just very slow gowing at the moment, due to real-life, health and personal issues that trump an online Volunteer E-Zine :(. We are all sorry about that, and hope to get it out ASAP, but the fact of the matter is we all have to take care of ourselves first, and make sure our real lives dont come crumbling down before putting work into the Herald. It's unfortunate, but sometimes it has to happen....
We are all still here, and working, though, just at a much slower than wanted pace :(.

I'll guarantee you though, as soon as it is out and ready, everyone will know -- we will not be shy about bragging ;)

I imagine this theme will take me even further away from my comfort zone than sonnets or villanelles. It's not a bad thing at all - it just means I'll be having a few more difficulties than usual in getting it right. :P

a) put your poetry up in your house;
b) set up a wiki for your poetry and link that in your house;
c) submit to this Poetry Corner of The Town Herald if you have something which fits the current theme; or
d) submit to the Daily Poem (but make sure to read the rules first!).

Of course, nothing should stop you from doing all of these. :)
